How to Book Catering
Step 1: View our catering menu online.
Step 2: Place your order through our online ordering platform or contact the Catering Office directly at (270) 809-2746.
Step 3: For room reservations, contact the Curris Center at (270) 809-6985.
Step 4: For table/chair setup at other campus locations, contact Facilities Management at (270) 809-4291.
Policies and Guidelines
All catering events must be confirmed with a Banquet Event Order, or BEO, no less than (10) business days prior to your event along with an “estimated” guest count. The BEO outlines the terms of agreement with catering by Sodexo and includes all pertinent event information. A “final,” or “guaranteed guest count is required (3) business days prior to your event. If a final guest count is not provided, you may be billed for the estimated guest count.
Final Guest Count
- Required 72 hours prior to the event
- For Monday events, counts must be submitted by Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
Billing is based on the guaranteed count. Additional guests beyond this number will be billed accordingly.
Food Removal Policy
Due to health regulations, it is the policy of Catering by Sodexo that excess food items from events cannot be removed from the event site. Neither the host or guest are allowed to bring bags or containers, or otherwise hoard items not consumed from an event. Only Catering by Sodexo staff is authorized to handle and dispose of food properly.
Pricing
- Prices are guaranteed if a contract is issued at least 90 days prior to the event.
- Otherwise, prices are subject to change without notice.
Delivery and Order Minimums
- $500 order minimum (excluding delivery charges)
- Delivery fees:
- $35 on-campus
- $50 within Murray city limits
- $100 outside Murray city limits (within Calloway County only)
- Free delivery for orders of $250 or more
- Events outside regular business hours may require meeting an additional minimum order amount
Service Charges and Staffing
- Events include a three-hour service window for setup, service, and cleanup
- Additional time billed accordingly
- Service staff available at $75 per hour per server
Included Services
- Events include plastic plates, cutlery kits, paper napkins, and setup
- Final service details may vary depending on menu and guest count
- China, silverware, and glassware can be added for an event at an additional $3 fee per person.
- Please note: Centerpieces and decorations are provided for a fee
Cancellations
To avoid charges, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance. Charges may apply for food or supplies already purchased or prepared.
